In 2007, wet conditions, especially in the central part of the province delayed seeding and in extreme cases prevented producers from seeding. Crop development was delayed and uneven in these areas with many fields showing signs of high moisture stress. Some of the main cereal, canola and field pea disease issues encountered or that were reported to the Alberta Agriculture and Food, Ag-Info Centre in 2007 are outlined in Table 1, along with key management strategies for these issues.
