Direct seeding systems provide an opportunity for effective pre-seed weed control in addition to the traditional windows of opportunity provided by more conventional tillage systems. An effective pre-seed burnoff ensures a weed-free seedbed, enhancing the competitive advantage of the seeded crop. Recent registrations provide a greater number of options for cost-effective solutions to weed control pre-seed.
