Good seed management starts with getting as much information on the quality of your seed lot through seed testing as soon as the crop is harvested. Technology today is advancing rapidly allowing us to delve deeper into seed quality aspects and be more
able to predict field performance sooner than later.
Farm input costs, the economics of developing high quality seed and the effects of environmental conditions on stand establishment and crop production are all drivers in whether a seed lot makes it into the ground or not. It stands to reason that the first test
a seed user would consider is a germination test.
