Summary

This study was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of fungicide seed treatments against Pythium seed and root rot and to investigate the interactive effects of seeding date and Pythium spp. on establishment of field pea.

At all sites fungicide treatments increased seedling emergence and yield relative to control.

There was more seedling emergence at earlier seeding dates (early May to mid May) than at later seeding dates (early June).
