Summary.
The object of this study was to develop a decision support system for farmers that would provide concise plant disease information that can be readily used.
The Disease Information for Conservation Tillage Actions (DICTA) decision support system contains information about plant diseases and their control. As the system is designed for producers, detailed descriptions of diseases would require printed material on cereal, oil-seed and pulse crops. In DICTA, the information on the effect of plant residue levels on disease incidence was obtained from plant pathologists and generally is not in print.
